My script for my story

In this 50th century, humankind and vampires co-exist. Now you may think how is that possible? Wouldn’t it be dangerous? No, because most of them are “vegetarian”, they feed on animals’ blood. Its funny how my great-grandfather used to tell me about people’s fear of vampires and have stories about them looming the streets feeding on human blood.  In our world, we were treated equally.

Cindy: I am Cindy. A typical 18 years old high school senior in Amsterdam High. I am the kind of girl no one would bother to take a second look at in school because I am neither the hot cheerleader in the squad nor the dancing maniac from the hottest dance club, the two most popular clubs in Amsterdam High. But, you know what? It’s fine, I’ve never really been the “IT” girl in school anyway. But I know deep down, I yearn for the attention. This is why I studied hard in school because I am sick of living my life with my head down. I want to make lots of money, be popular and marry a rich husband.
I am not completely a loner. I have a roommate, her name is Maya. She’s just like me, or maybe a little on the geeky side.
Cindy: Maya, my roommate a geek.
Maya: Cindy, stop it! You are the geek not me!
Life was boring; The sky was in the same shade of blue. The faces I see in school were the same. The topics they say didn’t change much either. However, everything changed when I met George. He had the deepest set of blue eyes, bronze colour hair and the most masculine body I’ve seen. He looked like he belonged completely to another world different from her. He was George. A vampire.
Cindy: Oh my god! Maya! Look! He has the pretty boy look that I like!!
Maya: Gosh! What a fan girl you are!
Cindy: You know I don’t really care about guys, but look at him; he mesmerized me with his charming eyes.
Maya: HAHA! You are crazy! Wait! Cindy look!
Cindy: What?!
George: Hi! I’m George. Nice to meet you! And you are?
Cindy: Erm…. I am Cindy. She is Maya
Maya: Hi George! Ha
On the very same day we met, he asked me to be his girlfriend. Captivated by his charisma I said yes and we started dating.  He was such a sweet and caring boyfriend. He would send me home everyday after class and treat me with such tender loving care.
George: Although we just met and I know this is ridiculous but Cindy will you be my girlfriend?
Cindy was shocked.
Cindy: Erm, isn’t this too sudden and we just met.
But afterall Cindy agreed.
One day, while we were walking home, I saw a lady dressed in luxurious brands from head to toe. It was hard to miss, especially with the gold ring she was wearing.  It was beautiful.  After dinner, I casually asked George if he remembered the lady we saw earlier, and commented on the gold ring she was wearing. We were both students, I knew he wouldn’t be able to afford one, in fact, I wasn’t even expecting a present from him anyway.
Cindy: George, remember the lady we saw?
George: Who?
Cindy: The lady that dress in luxurious brands from head to toe.
George: Oh! Ya? I notice her.
Cindy: I really like the gold ring that she was wearing.
George: Oh! Hmmm…
“Surprise! Happy 18th birthday Cindy! “ George exclaimed, and proceed to put on an oil-paper ring on my finger and said “ You’re mine now. Quick! go on and blow the candles! “ Even as I recall now, I miss how simple minded we all used to be. I wore the oilpaper ring and danced in circles as it was our first token of love. It was my happiest birthday to be able to spend with someone who truly cares for me.
George: Happy 18th birthday my dear. I have a little present for you!
George took out a ring, a oilpaper ring not a gold ring
George: Cindy, this ring is for you. Although this is not a gold ring but this paper ring was made by me. I put my heart and soul into this ring. I love you.
Cindy: It’s okay George. I love this paper ring. All I need is just you.
We dated for a couple of years. Honestly, I’d never thought we’d last that long. Before my 21st birthday, I brought up the gold ring we saw the other time again. This time I was determined that George get me a present I wanted, after all it was my 21st birthday. I didn’t want to be that simple 18th year old girl who was easily satisfied. I didn’t know when it was that I had this mindset that “If a guy loves you enough, he would buy expensive presents for you. The more expensive the gift, the more it shows my importance in his heart” Being the loving boyfriend he was I thought he would agree to my request, but he said no. He could not afford such expensive rings. My heart was shattered and soon after I left him.
Cindy: George, can I have a gold ring on my 21st birthday? I really wish I could have one, hope you can fulfill my dream for me.
George: Sorry dear, I really can’t afford a gold ring right now. Perhaps give me more time?
Cindy: You are already working out there, you should be able to afford a gold ring it doesn’t cost much anyway, and you are such a loser!
George: I’m sorry.
I didn’t want to live my life with someone like George who was unable to fulfill my desires and wants. I was grateful and I loved him with all my heart and mind. However, I want to find a rich husband who would shower me with lots of presents and money will no longer be an issue.
Not long after, I met Jason. He was wealthy. Really wealthy.  Even though he was much older and I didn’t feel the same way towards him like George, he was very nice and took great care of me. 1 year into dating, we got married.  He started becoming very abusive, and restricted me from going out and asking about his work life or his friends. He would come home drunk sometimes and begin hitting, accusing me of meeting other guys.
Jason: Hi Cindy! I bought this gold ring and necklace for you hope you will like it.
Cindy: Oh yes of course! I like it a lot.
While we were dating, I knew he felt insecure because of our age difference but it became worse after we got married. He became paranoid and made trouble out of nothing.
Cindy: Jason, I can’t believe that you treat me like dirt after we got married. I felt so hurt and cheated.
Jason: Screw you! Shut your mouth up before I beat you!!!
6 months later when he got arrested for embezzlement. Married life with him was unbearable and I filed for a divorce.
Cindy: Jason, I can’t stay with you any longer you are a monster; I’m going to file for a divorce with you.
Jason: You leave me because I go to jail?! You leave me because I can’t give you money anymore?!
Cindy: Bye!
I went back to being single. Once in a while I would think of George, and wonder how he has been all these years. If he met someone new? Is he married? Where is he working? Does he have kids?

It was pouring heavily with thunderstorms. I was out on an errand and who knew that I would bump into my first, probably my one and only true love, George on this bad weather. He kindly invited me over for dinner. Gleefully, I agreed, hoping that it may be a brand new start for us.
Cindy: Hi!
George: Hi Cindy, how’s life going? Smooth?
Cindy: I just file a divorce against my husband he ill-treated me.
George: its okay bad things will soon be over. Do you mind coming over to my place for dinner?
Cindy: Okay! Thanks a lot George.
“DingDong” The doorbell rang. Walking out was a lady dressed in a pink apron. Even though her hair was in a mess, I could still tell that she was beautiful. I thought, who she could be because I have never heard George mention having a sister. At the same instance “ Hello Hubby! I see you have a guest! Welcome”, she greeted with a pleasant smile. My heart sank. All hope was gone. She carried a little boy in her hands and introduced Billy to me. The three of them were like the perfect family portrait. Even though I was disappointed, I couldn’t help but be happy for him. I wanted him to live the life he deserved. I was relieved he did not choose someone like me.
George’s wife(Jane): Hi Hubby!!! I see you have a guest?
George: Yes! Old friend of mine.
Cindy: Hi!
George: Cindy, this is my wife, Jane and Jane this is Cindy.
Jane: Hi! Cindy
Jane: Billy! Call sister.
Billy: Sister.
Cindy: George you have such a adorable son.
Over dinner, there were laughers and gossips. It was so enjoyable. We exchanged contacts and he handed me a name card “ George Willington. Journalist. “ It didn’t occur to me that he would become a journalist. What was more surprising was that Jason Willington was his brother. Their parents were divorced and both of them lived separately. Who would have known since both of them have never brought it up to me?
It was one of those early mornings, I woke up exceptionally early and I still have a few hours before work. It seemed like a perfect morning, sipping my coffee with the newspaper in hand. Under the Lifestyle section, I saw George’s column, it was not hard to notice because it was such a huge spread. Excited, I read on. “ Diamonds, or rather money are a girl’s best friend” … he wrote,“ In my entire life, I’ve given 2 oil-paper rings away. One to my first girlfriend, and the other to my wife. Thankfully, my wife stayed with me for long, and I told her that it was actually a gold ring in it and for that I am glad. But I have also seen the reality amongst many girls. To my first girlfriend that i have given my heart to, you really broke my heart” As soon as I saw this, I ran into my room, picked up the dusty old box and rummaged through the long untouched box for the oilpaper ring.
“I know I have it somewhere, but where is it?” Just then I found it and I immediately unwrapped it, and indeed it was a gold ring George had given to me on my 18th birthday, long before I asked for it for my 21st birthday. I was torn apart and was crying uncontrollably when Maya came out of her room.

“How could I have been so materialistic? Because of that I lost him. I loved him. He was so special to me!”

She yawns and muffled, “Well, at least you’ve inherited half of Jason’s wealth. You’re rich now. “

Reflection Paper

Actually what inspired me to write this story? I love to watch romance /love movies or read books, which are the same genre. Nevertheless, I love vampire diaries therefore I have come up with this story of a mixture of vampires and human. Vampire Diaries (TV series) inspired me of using vampire as one of my main characters and sixteen candles a movie, which was, released o 1984 a very old movie but the essence of the movie still intact till this date. Therefore I uses vampire and high school girl as my main character and I use ring as my main purpose, Lord Of The Ring gave me the idea of actually using a ring can write a story which is different from the typical kind of story.
